Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Qatar AI Institute ("AI2Q", "we") collects through ai2qatar.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

When you send us a form (contact, course interest, or work with us): your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and message. For course-interest forms we also record which course you asked about.
When you pay for a course: payment is handled by PayPal. We receive your name, email address, the course, the amount, and PayPal's order reference and payment status. We never see or store your card or bank details.
Technical data: like any website, our server records basic request logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time) for security and to fix problems.

We don't ask for national ID numbers, and there are no user accounts or public comments on this site.

Cookies

We use only cookies the site needs to work:

NEXT_LOCALE: remembers whether you're using the English or Arabic version of the site.
A sign-in cookie for our staff admin area, which is never set for visitors.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use third-party analytics. PayPal may set its own cookies while you're on its checkout page; those are covered by PayPal's privacy statement.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and tell you about the course you asked about, such as intake dates and enrolment options.
To enrol you in a course you've paid for, deliver it, and handle refunds.
To send you news about our courses and events (see below for how to opt out).
To keep financial records we're required to keep by law.
To keep the website secure and working.

We send emails about our courses, events and news to people who sign up for them. We may also send them to other people, such as those who have contacted us or taken a course with us. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing info@ai2qatar.com. Once you opt out, we stop.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services we need to run the site, and only as much as each one needs:

PayPal, to process payments and refunds.
Our hosting provider (Hetzner Online, with servers in Germany), where the website and its database run.
Our email provider, to send and receive messages about your enquiry or course.

We may also disclose information if Qatari law or a court order requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and delete them when they're no longer needed. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax laws require.

Your rights

In line with Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
correct anything that's wrong;
delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law (for example, payment records);
stop sending you marketing emails.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, our database isn't reachable from the internet, and only authorised staff can access the admin area. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you by email.
