Carnegie Mellon's Doha campus offers Qatar's first Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, based on CMU's top-ranked US programme.
Overview
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) is a Qatar Foundation partner university in Education City. It has launched a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (BSAI), the first undergraduate AI degree in Qatar.
The programme mirrors the BSAI that Carnegie Mellon introduced in Pittsburgh in 2018, the first such degree offered by a US university. The curriculum is built on mathematics, computer science and statistics, with in-depth courses in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision and human-AI interaction. CMU-Q developed the degree with Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Qatar Foundation.
